The Deck Kitchen and Bar is your go-to beachside spot at the north end of Waihī Beach.Whether you’re grabbing a coffee after your morning swim or settling in for brunch with a view, The Deck serves up great food, refreshing drinks and unbeatable views of our beach – all while supporting a vital community cause.

Run by Waihī Beach Lifeguard Services Inc., every purchase helps fund our volunteer surf lifeguards, Junior Surf programme, Rookie Lifeguards and 24/7 search and rescue services. When you dine at The Deck, you’re backing the team that looks after the people enjoying ourbeach, surf and coastline.

The all-day brunch and bar menu includes local favourites like eggs bene, brekkie burgers, loaded toasties, smoothies and iced drinks, with regular specials to keep things fresh. Relax on the outdoor deck under our new permanent canopy, complete with clear drop-down sides – a comfortable space with unforgettable views in any weather. Or grab your food to go and enjoy it picnic-style on the sand just a few steps away.

Our beachfront building is also available for hire outside the summer peak season. It’s an ideal venue for weddings, reunions, business meetings and celebrations of all kinds (excluding 21sts). Every booking directly supports the club’s lifesaving and community services.

Open 7 days a week (8am–8pm) during the summer peak, and weekends from October.
Venue hire is available from March to October.
